Thanks, Graham. I wamted something smooth with reflective highlights, and don't really know what I wound up with, except I'm somewhat pleased with it, mostly because it's my last name. :)
I did this for the Xara xtreme Guide, and it's still one of my favorite images. It's very simple, but looks complex because of the slight fractal fills in the drawing:

Nice Gary. The fractals give a nice texture. The stripes are well done as also. Great shading. Looks good enough to eat!

I like it Gare but the light elipical area tward the bottom and behind the watermellon lust seems wrong.

Agreed (to an extent) Larry. The ellipse is supposed to be a kick ambient light from the floor which is white, to a shiny object, the melon. You'll see this any time you have a smooth surface on reflective white with a strong light coming into the scene. A cache light helps object that are round look more round, but I think I overdid it, and the ellipse isn't correctly placed. How's about this for a revision?
