Yes, sorry, I wasn't very specific. I meant just plain outlines.

I use the spiro thingy in Inkscape, which is great, to draw 1pt outlines, then copy and paste into Xtreme. They paste as lines so I can apply stroke shapes to them.

I prefer SPXE for spirals, they drag and drop into Xara as lines which I find is great because a single line is so easy to edit in Xara. The line is easily converted into a shape so fills etc. can be applied.

here is a quick vine I did using SPXE and Xtreme 5

PDF means I can port xtreme <> inkscape <> illustrator as closely as is possible, most of the time

    Hi

I use Xara LX on Linux there I cannot use Dimitri's tool, so I have to use Inkscape but importing SVG is possible in Xara LX, and also Xara Xtreme 4 and 5 on Windows, I bought it but my wife uses it on windows.
I have used Dimitri's spiraltool on windows as well.

I like Inkscape but, Xara is much better, the pro version is unbeatable.
Especially feathered shape breaks the performance on a PC with Inkscape
