    Default Loading web pages

    All:

I haven't figured out why I can't add an .html page to my open file. Is it possible?

If you want to open html pages in WD, then anser is: "it is impossible".
Xara Web Designer does not edit html, it has it's own internal format. Created design is stored as .web file. You only get HTML when you export your design as a web site.

    Hi Ron. Welcome to TalkGraphics.

Might you simply want to add a page to your .web file, using the command sequence Edit > Pages > New page? After adding a page, you can move it up or down in page order. When the project is exported, a new HTML page will be generated.

Sorry I wasn't clear but you answered a second question I was ready to ask.

What I want to do is add a saved page from a current website our church has to avoid having to start over.

Thumbs up Re: Loading web pages

RonM; I have just done just that myself. I am slowly revamping all of my websites with XARA, love it. Meanwhile I do use some of my existing html pages and incorporate them in my new XARA designs. Say you create a good looking index.htm page with XARA this will replace your index.htm page when you ftp (publish it) Make sure you have a copy or rename your existing to originalindex.htm first. Then all of your existing pages like aboutus.htm page etc. will link back to your new index.htm page. Just set all your buttons on your XARA index.htm page to link to your existing page by giving it the correct path. Like = http://www.mychurch/htdocs/aboutus.htm or what ever your HOST tells your file directory is. For an example see http://www.bigislanddrafting.com or http://hawaiianshorescommunity.com Mind you these are work in progress. -- andre
