Default Re: copy & paste from X3D to Xtreme

Thanks to all of you for taking the time.

The URL below is what I am referring to.

    http://www.xara.com/products/xara3d/whatsnew.asp

It clearly shows you in the movie, at the bottom of the page, how easy and simple it is to do, but alas, it does not work for me.

I own X1, which it also is meant to grant you this feature with 3D, went a step farther to see if it was possible in Xtreme, still no good, I can't even copy and paste any text from Corel X3 into Xtreme, can drag and drop somewhat from page to page from Corel to X1 but it's the "Clipboard" thing I'm after.

It's not a misunderstanding, what I'm asking, is it possible to do or not, from the movie that is present on the 3D "whats new URL above".?

Thanks again, hope to hear your comments and possible solutions,

    Regards - George

Coza, I'm puzzled why this doesn't work for you. Everything shown in that film works as shown, and has done for years. You said that you can't paste other things into XaraXtreme properly, either.

If you have Xara3D with an object in the display, and you type Ctrl-C, then switch to the XaraXtreme window and type Ctrl-V, what happens exactly? Do you get an error, the wrong shape, nothing, or what?

If you have Xara3D as the current app in the desktop, and type Alt-PrintScreen, then switch to XaraXtreme, and type Ctrl-V, what happens then?

In Xara3D, use the cursor to select an object, then type Ctrl-C, then RightArrow, Return, and Ctrl-V. Do you get a copy of the object in the Xara3D window?

    Thanks Mike,

You got me thinking, and helped solve the problem.

The culprit, my anti-keylogging program had to allow for the copy and paste command, for 3D to do so back to X1.

I will now consider moving on to the Higher Xara's, excuse me for the doubt.

Thanks again - to all who lent a hand.
