Oh I know it can be done, but wouldn`t it be just wonderfull if
the programs themselves would have that option?
It used to be possible to get them of the tray, for good, if you
just choose in the menu when you rightclicked on the little icon.
Over time that option just disappeared, and try to that with real player
if you only use it once it will pop up again.
Why do these programmers think that their program is SO important
that we NEED it in that tray???? I think it is an ego thing.

Thanks, I will check out these options.there are two progs. One allows you to view and remove programs in your startup routine.
If you are uncertain as to whether you want them or not, just google the app name to find out what they are.
the second is a monitor that will alert you anytime an installation attempts to add something to the startup
routine and allow you to accept or deny it.
one of the nicest lil apps i have. and.... they are free.
