Well folks....I joined a couple of days ago and I must say I'm very impressed. Here is something I did in Xara. Opinions, tips and hints are always welcome. Hope it comes out and I did this right.

Not sure about the logo - the hat itself that is something else.
Can almost feel the texture.
Great stuff, really.
And the detail on the holes - that works extremely well.

"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.
Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
Great work! I love the way you made those shades in the cloth
I agree... fantastic job!
I'm not all that sure i like the "glow" around the hat...
Hi
The folds in the cloth are very good, not always easy to do convincingly.

really great start BNorton. I too can just feel the softness. I know Xtreme has some cloth fills -- did you use something from there or something else?

Hey Folks,
Thanks for the input. This was my first Xara project and I must say that I went about it the most difficult way you could imagine. I could never seem to get the logo right. I did all of the contours on the hat with lines and then blurred them out (like I said the hard way). The only fill I used was the main hat color and it was just a standard color fill. I've been thinking of redoing this image with what I know now but I did learn some lessons here...lol.
BNorton,
Very nice work.
