Exclamation The Second Annual Xara Xone Tree-Trimming Collaboration

Last year, I thought we had a very beautiful show, from tg members who designed ornaments, trimming, and a gift or two for a virtual tree, that you can see right here

And the finished tree is here

Anyone (and everyone) like to try this group decoration thing again?

    I thought so. Good.

It's very simple: you can download the tree only as a JPEG, or the whole scene as a JPEG, or go for baroque and download a lossless PNG file, all below, clearly marked, trying to be considerate of anyone on dial-up.

Post your decoration to this thread and every day or so, I'll add it to the tree (because it would be utter chaos to let everyone hang a decoration and then post the whole scene).

I know that "Show Your Spirit" is totally overused for sports, politics, and even Doritos, thus making it a fairly meaningless phrase.

But it's nearly a very important little kid's birthday, and you can't make a Joyous Noise in Xara Designer, so to truly show your Seasonal Spirit (a secular phrase, we're inclusive here at tg), take a sec' and make a nice ornament for this lonely virtual tree.

    My Best,

    Gary

well I couldn't let this thread go unanswered so here is a Popcorn and cranberries garland brush to start things off. I hope everyone else has just been busy and more ornaments are forthcoming! I would love to see this virtual tree trimming become a grand TG tradition!

Maybe unanswered yet but I'm sure members will get into the swing of things before long. I myself want to join in but so far have just been too busy. Attractive brush Frances.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Well, here we are on lucky Friday the 13th, and I hung Frances' beautiful garland on our tree, and added a couple of angels...and yeah, I cheated, it's a rendered model I did a few years ago.

Here is a vintage ornament for the tree. I took a photo of an ornament from a collection of ornaments I have that used to be my Grandmother's and used the bitmap tracer on it. Did a bit of clean up after the trace and saved the .xar.

    Hey, angelize, coldwetnoz—

I've just downloaded both ornaments, they are swell, and I encourage more!

I'll put them up and post 'em Saturday, okay?

    Thanks!

a gingerbread cottage, right, Frances? Barbara has a lot of ornaments from her childhood we put up.
