Default Convert Image to Two Color

A friend asked me to recreate an effect in a poster. She had the original image. I'm guessing the poster was done in Photoshop, but really don't know.

The original image is converted to two colors and the lighter areas map to one while the darker shades map to the 2nd color. There are no degrees of darkness, just two colors. (Technically, is that monochrome?)

Contone doesn't give you the desired effect. See attached image to see original and desired effect. (It looks better at a larger size/higher res.)

I was able to create the 2nd image in the attachment using a free utility I found (Just Google and download WhiteNoir. It is a single, small .exe program. No install.) It is close to the original effect. I'm wondering, of course, if it can be done purely within Xtreme? I'm not up on all the bitmap effects built-in and thought someone else might know how.

    Thx.
