Here is my first Web Designer site (and pretty much my first ever proper site, as previous attempts have used Google sites)

I redesigned the site from what I originally posted. I left a lot of the car pics out of this and decided to focus on web sites and graphics.

It's good to know one can build sites like that with Xara. I am new and still have lots to learn.

Nice job - a few suggestions..

The big white squares

.. with words that say to mouse over the thumbnails.. .. replace it with some artwork and a bit of text perhaps, and place the mouse over instruction under the thumbnails.

"About me"

Make the font smaller and mix the text with a few images - make the page longer for this. It's hard to read a big slab of text and the big font makes it very much "in your face". In a strictly business sense the About me would be more oriented towards selling the end product than purely autobigraphical, but that's up to you.

"page titles"

.. should describe the page content

meta tags

Should describe what the page is about.

Fundementally a "thumbs up" with a few tweaks!

These sites are comigng along quite nicely, I am wondering now which program they are utilizing most..Xara Web Designer or Xtreme Pro 5.
I re-done my humble page in Xtreme Pro 5...and am still learning..
