I tried using the OCC, and hard refresh as well, but to no avail. Just three control points.

I deleted spiral1.xar from \AppData\Local\Xara\XtremePro\11\Cache\designs\eng \smartshapes\general\ and \AppData\Local\Xara\XtremePro\11\Cache\designs\eng \smartshapes\moreshapes\ but that didn't help either.

I attached spiral1.xar from c:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro X11\basefiles\smartshapes\ here, perhaps you could check if it works correctly for you?

This may be a bug (feature) with your setup. I'm going to flag this thread and see if we can get someone from Xara to see what is going on. You HAVE to have the full spiral experience.
