Default Changing the pasteboard - using WD MX

I've done a search through the forum, trying the suggestions I could understand, downloaded the WD 7 manual (can't find MX one yet) and followed the directions, and still can't get a different pasteboard. I'd like to have either a pattern or an image (repeatable) or as one post I found in the search suggested, creating a tall, thin object that you fill with whatever and that becomes a bitmap, which repeats as the background/pasteboard. I can't get it to work. Right now I'm just experimenting with some new ideas (for me), and finding not being able to do this very frustrating. What am I doing wrong? Thanx. pamela

Hard to tell without seeing you what you are trying.

In it's simplest form, Ctrl+Drag an image onto the pasteboard from Windows Explorer or the bitmap gallery.

*O*M*G* It's THAT simple! The manual directions and all suggestions in my search of the forum gave me complicated answers, none of which worked. Sheez, I can't believe it's that easy!!! Thank you!

This is almost as simple and it is a trick I learned from Mr. Sledger.

Open the Color Editor (Ctrl + e)

Mix any color or sample a color with the Color Picker (the eyedropper).

Drag and drop the color onto the pasteboard and/or the page.

Thanks, Mr. Moderator Emeritus Dude, Sir, that one I've already learned and greatly appreciate its ease. The more I work with WD, the more I appreciate how really friendly it is and how easy it is to create websites that work. You guys ROCK!
