Experimented a while with the background colour...
This doesn't really work for me Oliver. Your images are very sharp vector drawings but the "midnight" background here seems to distract from your artwork as does the light coloured tank tracks. Just my observations.

Same here, doesn't work for me! Try some kind of vignetting with a gradient fill from black to dark 'bluish' or black to something 'reddish' (it's Russian, red should do fine).

Oliver it reminds me of some images from many years ago.
I like the frost covered grass and parts of the tank. The face of Stalin in the background looks appropriate to me.

Ok, I take my comment partly back! It could look good wit a completely black background if you could add some kind of back light to the tank. Perhaps a glow drop shadow would do.
And as Soquili already mentioned, the face of Stalin is a nice touch.

I too prefer the white backgrounds that you used. On the black background it seems to lose something somehow. The face of Stalin is a wonderful touch.

Stalin woks for me with the tank! What if you did a dark gradient, like a night sky, would that work with both the tank and the picture of Stalin?

Ok, guys, I have altered the background without compromising Iosif,
how about that ?
Oliver.
