I picked mine up from the PO today. I was really excited until i tried to install the damned thing. I can't. Do I need to uninstall the download one? If so, why? Why can I not just update the existing installation from the CD? I really have no confidence that any of my settings will be kept or even that I will be able to install to the folder of my choice.
After a promising start, this was turning into a disappointing day until I picked up my Line 6 KB37 - the software installed perfectly, the Line 6 Monkey did an awesome job of registering me and getting all the latest drivers, etc and I was up and running in no time.
If a relatively new entrant into the PC world can do such a great job, why can't Xara?

Hey, Bones! When I got mine, I installed it immediately over the downloaded version without a wrinkle. All my settings were still there and all. It was easy. I don't know what happened to yours, but No! you don't have to uninstall the previous version.

Same here, all went pretty well, only the registration part didn`t go well,
but I knew I just had to switch off the firewall and after that, even that
    went without a flaw.

When I ran the installer it didn't give me any chance to specify an install location but seemed to find the existing install on my D:\ drive, so I figured it would install over the top. So I clicked through the installer but as soon as I got to the part where it should install, it quit to the desktop without doing anything. Tried it several times with no luck. Contacted Xara and have heard nothing back in 24 hours. I am currently not happy.

    That pain I have!
We already are in February 22 of 2007 and does not even arrive my package with the "XtremePro".
    That it will happen?
It will be so far, Colombia, South America?

I hope you get it soon. Could it have been lost in the mail? Perhaps you can email Xara or make inquiries at the post office.

¡Ojala que llegue muy temprano! ¿Sea posible que se perdió en los correos? Quizás se puede pedir información por email a Xara o enquirir al oficina de correos.

    Buena suerte
    Regards,

    Alan
