Hey Raymond,

I enjoyed hearing your mandolin.

Personally, I love all kinds of music except rap (although I respect it). I have actually played the guitar for 55-plus years, mostly classic and a bit of jazz. I also compose music. Although it is now a hobby, I did it professionally for about 25 years. You can hear some samples of my music here.

From jazz (Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis) to Mozart, Bach, Italian Baroque, some Opera (sang by Cecilia Bartoli or Callas please), from Sepultura to old hippie music, from local (bourbonnais) folk to Irish, from Blue Grass to Hank Williams, etc....

Will, Yes they took their name from Dante's work. The lead singer is quite a fan by all accounts.

To tell you the truth, I have every genre on my Ipod. From classical music to Jazz to hip-hop. I even have nursery rhymes on there for my son on long car journeys (although listening to "Old MacDonald" for 50 miles brings me close to suicide!)

Alan, your music is superb. I like the sort of eclectic variety in your choices on that page, but my absolute favorite is "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" truly beautiful. I listened to it several times, then downloaded to my desdtop and listened several more! I am REALLY impressed!

Just wanted to let you know that I just ordered the CD. Good music for a good cause...what more could one ask?

Reading about the inspiration for some of the songs touched me deeply, Alan. I have to admit to a tear or two...or three.
