'leave' site html

hello folks,
once again i am asking help from you guru's, i am making a site with an 'enter' and 'leave' button as the index page but i have no idea how to make the 'leave' button function so that it returns to the previous page viewed. I tried entering the <previous tag in 'link to page' but that only directs me to the last page in the site.

You can use the "History buttons" tweak from the tweakset for this purpose.

i am using version 5.0.2.10712 of web designer, is there no way of making a 'leave' button to work in that version ?

The mentioned tweak is present in the tweakset for the WD5.
Anyhow, you can simply use following link for the Leave button:

Use: drag and drop on the page.This tweak adds two button objects to your page. These buttons work exactly the same way as “Back” and “Forward” buttons on the browser.You can use any design you want simply copying the link from one of these button to your objects.v.1.5 (April 9, 2009)

Thank you cursor, i have downloaded the tweaks and followed the instructions, unpacked the zip file, gone into web designer gallery,
clicked 'disc designs' and added the xwd 501 tweaks' folder but all
that happens is that the folder is stored in designs gallery, and inside
that there is just a 'manual_htm_files' item that will not open.
obviously i am doing something wrong, any idea what ?

When specifying where the tweakset is, navigate just one folder deeper, for example:
c:\Program Files\Xara\Web Designer\XWD 501 Tweaks\XWD 501 Tweaks
