Just a thought...........
I did for a while have my text links the same colour as whatever theme I was using, then as an experiment I changed them back to default blue for a while, the click ratio increased by around 30%ish, I cam to the conclusion that people automatically know a link is a link if it is blue and underlined ie default.

Default blue may not work so well on dark backgrounds, especially blue.
