Default Menu with inset buttons looks horrible in mouse-over

Just like in one of the Web Designer movies I constructed (step by step) a navbar using streched inset button. It went great until I checked the mouse-over view. (See attached jpeg)
Anyone who can help me out??

The buttons consist of 2 bitmaps, mouse-on and mouse-off state, on 2 layers. When you move them you have to select the entire button to move or change, not just the mouse-off (visible) button. Don't know how it was made, but make sure in the object gallery you have both layers set to be visible. Once you move them out of alignment, it's tough to get them back again, especially if they are all moved differently.

Howdy, Captain. Why not attach your Xara .web file so we can offer some constructive solutions.

Hi Folks, thanks for the reply.
I deleted the whole bunch and inserted them again, but now without softgrouping. That solved the problem.
