It took me a long time to see anything in these, but once they finally materialized I was amazed by the 3D images. Of course then I had to back track and look at all your other stereograms. Very cool stuff!

Can you identify what you did, Mark, to finally see the 3D image(s)?

It is really hard to explain Curtis. I guess you could say it's a matter of focus, don't stare at a particular point in the picture, just kind of stare at the entire picture as a whole and let yourself go crosseyed (for lack of a better term). I know that proabably doesn't help much. If I think of a better way to explain it I will get back to you.

Now that I've got the hang of it I can turn it off and on at will. Keep trying Curtis, it's worth it when it finally happens. The 3D iamges are very cool. It's like looking through one of those old 3D view masters I had as a child.

    Curtis

Our normal tendency is to focus our eyes directly on the image or text.

To view a stereogram image you need to look straight ahead and through the image as if you were focusing on something behind the image.

Try getting your nose almost up to the image (don't leave a nose print on your monitor).

Relax your eyes and very slowly pull your head back. Try not to focus your eyes on the screen. Do this a few times and you should start to see something. If you can get to this stage, stare through the image and it will materialize. Honest.

    Pretty cool Gary.
Took me a minute to see it but then the longer I looked the more 3D it got. I could see different levels. very nice.

    Clever once again Gary.

Is it just me, or do others find stereograms on screen are much easier to see than ones on Paper? Perhaps Gary just does an exceptional job?

Some people can see the images better on the screen and others better on paper. Not sure why. But the lighting on the screen is better and good light really helps.

    Nice one Gary!
I found it a little hard to see at first but found that by moving my head closer to the monitor screen it jumped into view.
    Thank you!
