Bug Bug: Text link colours don't change as expected

    Hello

I'm designing a website using XXP 5.1 and have noticed some unexpected behaviour.

On the "Website" tab of the "Website Properties" dialog I have chosen a named colour for the "Mouse Off Colour" option.

When I edit the named colour, all of the objects in my design change accordingly, but the links do not change to reflect the new colour.

Previewing the site displays the links with the correct colours. Saving, closing, then reopening the .xar file fixes the problem.

Can anyone else reproduce this problem? I attach an example of the bug.

I see the same thing, Rich. Within the .xar file you note:

To be clear, you're saying that the edited color changes only when/after doing a Preview. All other items are dynamically affected during the color edit.

The graphic below shows how the text link color doesn't change dynamically during color editing.

I highlighted some of you placeholder text just to show how all four change and did a screen shot.

Yes there appears to be a bug with the link colour not re drawing and updating the text with the colour changes on the page.
Draging a shape over the text forces a redraw, as does when pressing Ctrl+SHIFT+T

That's a really handy demonstration, Steve.

How did it work for me? Did I change the properties of the link by using Ctrl+Shift+S? I can't honestly remember but it works.

Try assigning the named colour the the text you will use for a link before opening the Web Properties dialog.

    Hello

Steve, you've managed to isolate the bug with your video. Thanks for that.

The bug disappears if, as Soquili suggested, you manually set the colour of the text link by selecting it and then click on the named colour on the colour palette.

However, if you create a some text, assign a link to it, but leave the text the default colour - the redrawing bug manifests (as seen in Steve's video above).

I think this goes to demonstrate the point that Covoxer made in a recent post that adding additional features/tools to Xtreme is a very complicated process as you need to address the way that the new feature/tool will interact with the existing ones.

    Rich
