Default Snap to grid is ingnored when adding new point handle to a shape

    • Window > Show grid
    • Window > Snap to grid
    • Draw a diagonal line at 45°, from one grid point to another.
    • Now use the Shape Editor tool to add a point within the line length.
    • While it should snap to any number of grid points along that line (remember that the line is at 45°), grid snapping is totally ignored.

      Why?

Same for all version of Xtreme Curtis, as far back as X1.
You can lay down (add) a new node anywhere you might need it, but can 'snap' it when you move it around.

I would vote that we're due for a behavioral adjustment then.
Certainly, improved snapping methods are implemented in other programs.

Yes - another setting for me to toggle 'off', thanks

LOL ... it always depends on quality of feature implementation, right?
But, yes, I feel what you're saying.
