Default Access Violation Exception at 0x006094b0

Help! I'm in the middle of a project and when I open my .web file, it opens at 200% and I first get an error about a duplicate named color and my only option is to click OK. Then scrolling into the second page I get the access violation and 1/2 of the page is blank white. If I try to make any changes to the first page and save I also get the error. I can't get past this stage or go back. HELP!

*?/#@! I just tried opening the file again and I get a message that this file appears to be empty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I screwed??? Is there a way to retrieve this??????

Jim can you attach a .web file that causes the AVE?

Hello LindyJo welcome to Talkgraphics. If you could also attach a .web file that is causing the error it will greatly improve the chances of isolating the cause.

I don't know if this might help or not, but here is another reference thread to the Access Violation Exception error.

    Hi Curtis,

Different address in relation to the Access Violation Exception. This would indicate a different source of the exception.

In the thread you linked to the address is 0x22BFF3D3

For this thread the address is 0x006094b0

I simply assumed that the location was a reference to memory position, not to any specific running software application. Hey, I've been wrong before.

I have attached the .web file, but as I stated before I get a message saying it appears to be empty. Don't think now it will be of any use.

EDIT: I tried attaching the file but I get an error message saying upload failed. Any ideas?

Jim how large is the .web file? I don't recall a filesize limit on .web but my memory isn't as good as it was.

That would explain the upload error. No data to transfer.

Jim have you used XaReg to enable the creation of .bak files when you save?

You can dowload the free utility application from http://www.xaraxone.com/html/shareware.html
