So, do you want some objects on a single layer (as locked) to be selectable, while others (on the same layer) are not? Why not simply put them on different layers, then make the layer(s) accessible ... or not?

Yes, I've never really needed such a feature because I use layers a lot.
You could cursor. Is there no difference between 20 objects on one layer and 20 layers with one object?
Was that a rhetorical question?
Here's how I can look at that:
1 person in a room on each floor of a 20 story building.
20 people in the same room on one floor of a 20 story building.
I know which scenario I think is easier to manage.
So file size and memory wise there's no difference?
Rather than creating a long list of layers that house one element each, consider creating just one (or a few) layer(s) for position-locked elements, and name it (them) meaningfully.Originally Posted by nickydude
