    Default Sound linked to buttons

What do I need to do to incorporate a sound into my buttons when they are clicked on?

I expect that you could assign some javascript at the button's placeholder. What that script might be ... I don't know. Perhaps someone more versed will respond.

I'm finding a lot of info on the web regarding html language including sound, but nothing that fits what I'm trying to do. Make my web page buttons make a "click" sound when the user clicks his mouse button on it. I've got the wav file I want to use but can't figure out how to make it work in Web Designer.

    Does anyone know this stuff?

Ron, if you've got Flash you could create your buttons there.

Unless you are running a framed site the problem with a sound on click comes when the button concerned is a link to another page as the browser will start loading the new page and probably the sound might not get time to play.

I've found flash to be the best method for getting sounds to play either onclick, onrelease or even onrollover. Although in the case of the latter there seems to be a perfectly acceptable peice of javascript shown on the page that Sledger linked to.

    Thanks Jimi,
There's a lot of information provided there, however, for those of us who don't know or understand this information or how to apply it to Web Designer it is of little use. I've tried different ways of implimenting different suggestions, but I obviously don't understand what I'm doing as they don't work for me.

Perhaps, someone with knowledge and understanding will someday provide a step by step tut on how to incorporate this feature in a website.
