    Default Loosing Converts

I work in an office where Adobe rules.

My colleagues are fed up of my singing the praises of Xara Xtreme.
When XWD was launched I was impressed as I always am with Xara products and started singing to an XWD tune.

Finally I got some interest. Rapid prototyping.
They liked what they saw over my shoulder and some even downloaded the trial and had go.

One of the first questions I got seemed a bit basic...

Colleage: "How do you set the site background colour"

Me: "Search for background in the help.

Colleage: "Nothing in the help on background"

I am working in Xtreme and type background into help and the first entry is "Web Page Backgrounds" which tells me everything I need to know.

Me: "Look, it's all here you must have typed it wrong"

Colleage: "Nothing in the help on background"

Help and status line info are vital if new users are to find their way around XWD.
Xara: Please get this right, I am loosing converts.

I know it's in the Website Colors found by search but why no entry in the index ?

    It's there.

You want to know how to set the page background website colors? Then ask for 'Page Background'

    Thanks sledger,

I must have been adding adding my last line as you posted.

I still think basics should be easy to find in the index.

    Thumbs up Re: Loosing Converts

    re: Xara Web Designer Help

Out of curiosity, I just did a search for "background color". Reference to the desired info was right at the top of the list.

As a second test, I searched for simply "background". Again, reference to the desired info was right at the top of the list.

I just think that something as fundamental as "background" should be in the index.

    Hi DD,

I agree. Background should be in the index. I never thought to use 'page background'.

Perhaps a future update will include an updated help file.
