Default Text Renders Differently in Browser

I decided to purchase Web Designer because I couldn't eliminate the bugs when using Expression Web.

However, when doing a test page, I found that text graphics appeared differently in browser preview and when uploaded.

The problem disappeared when I increased the font size to 18pts and above.

I realise that I can eliminate the problem by grouping the text, but I want to use the text, rather than use buttons.

I think I must be missing a really obvious point, but it's not clear from the Help function or the Video tutorials.

    Can you advise?

    Hello BetterBack,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

Could you please be more specific about which text area has the problem.

The small text using Cordia New font at 16pix is grouped and renders as an image. Is that the text you are talking about?

Fully justified text does not render the same from browser to browser and is not currently supported in Web Designer.

I don't know what negative affect this might have, but the first blank line of your paragraph text (that reads, "It's nothing enigmatic, just ...") indicates that the font is 'Tahoma', while the rest is 'Cordia New'.

Cordia New is not web safe font. You should not export it as a text. WD warns you if try to export such a text.

Perhaps it might be a good idea if WXD warned you then asked if you wanted it exported as an image?

Or maybe if WD warned you, gave you a valid font substitution menu or the option to export as a .jpg or .png image

Nicky you mean something like the error about non-safe web fonts.
