It might be an idea to use lighter text - white even - on that background, or use a white transparency behind the text to try and lift it off the background.

I knocked this up Sunday afternoon after a pleasant lunch of venison, hot foie gras on ginger bread and an apple stuffed with mange-tout and beans- yes I live in France –the bottle of La Croix de Carbonnieux , Graves, 2004 played a small part !

Great site. A bit off on the translation though!!

Nice site Xhris. I am intrigued by the flash banner. Why does it act so strangely, is it one animation on top of another?
