Ross, you've really motivated me to try out Sketchup.

I'm assuming you're using the pro version. Is it like Xara where you can draw whatever you like in either and the "Pro" part has more to do with your exports?

I'm a beginner with web design and Xara products so I am very proud to present my site www.nycsalonsearch.com.

It's heavy so please be patient if it is slow. I welcome any tips on making it lighter.

    Hi Kate and hello,

Your Home page link is incorrect, it takes you to the search page and not the home page so it gives an Oops! page not found link.

Other than that the pages load fast for me.

I have updated my web space home page.

Wery nice, but you have to do something with background image. It's to narrow to fill all the screen and so it tiles.
I would suggest something like in the attachment. Just an idea.
And you wouldn't need that tweak to disable background synchronisation.

I really like your web page Bill. I like the translucent page over the photo background.

    Thanks John and Frances.

John I'll look into a better tiling image. I was using a 17" wide screen monitor at 1280 x 720.

Frances the translucent page seemed to fit "window on my drawings" idea that hit me while working on the site.

It is very much a work in progress. I may add more content with some of my 3D application renderings at some point.

The pictures you made are nice, very realistic or like a video game.
