    Default water glass

I created this as an illustration. It was fun to experiment with the transparency tool.

John is referring to the A Glass of Beer at the Café Xara tutorial which was a result of this thread,

Glass and transparency can be difficult so I like the effect you have made, here's a couple I made earlier!

Gary is a MASTER, no doubt about that. I have just seen the Glass of Beer at a Cafe via Steve's link and it is amazing.

Here's a glass guest tutorial I did in 2002. It's the tutorial I'm most pleased about. Not blowing my own trumpet, just that I acheived what I was after whilst working in a very demanding medium, transparencies. LINK

Very nice yet simple.. I believe there should have been more shapes to resemble the refractions and reflections or the glass surroundings,..
Glad and water and materials like them are very tircky to render cause there are lots of very complicated light calculations there...

    Nice work after all..
