Default Transparent Beer Glass Contest

Arrrrrrrr....
and all that Pirate Talk.

Here's the challenge.

Using Xara Xtreme or one of it's precedents or Xara LX, make a transparent beer glass (containing beer of course.)
  • You can use no plugins, nor any external program,
  • You must use a glass transparent container, containing beer.
  • You must like beer (well maybe not that one.)
  • You must supply a wireframe from the Xara Program you use along with the image.

There will be no prizes other than gloating rights for your geographic regions on having the Best Transparent Beer Glass Maker in the Entire World. Or some such title.

The winner will be announced by whoever or is that whomever? Maybe somebody will volunteer.

Here's my entry and its animated! Take that ya scurvy Pirates! Arrrrrr...

Representing the first entry from Team U.S.A. in the World Beer Cup/Mug/Glass Competition, Jamesmc! (jeers and boos from the crowd)

Maybe not enough beer drinkers here. I like the idea of the challenge though. I will have to work on a big mug when I get time and post it here.

Okay i followed Gary`s advice, I set a glass fill it with beer and try
to draw it, everytime I want to start it seems to have evaporated
and by now I am starting to see double.

Good thing Jamesmc decided to stick with beer instead of whiskey or vodka. My suggestion Popeye is trying drawing in a cooler area, may not evaporate quite as fast but something tells me there is more than just evaporation happening here. I hope the evaporation is happening from the right side of the glass.......try turning a full glass upside down and see if it is written "drink and evaporate from other end" If your sitting at a table with 5 or 6 friends, you may have to turn over all their full glasses also to check for the message.....good luck....frank

Perhaps they are terrified of our beer draughting skills?

They should draw upon their beer talents and imbibe the spirit of pure art.

I like the aerated bubbles Eric, I tried to incorporate them in my drawing but gave up they looked too artficial.
