Great video gare, I am always so impressed by your work, so many clever techniques.
By default, on pretty much all hosting out there, HTML files are not cached designated by server settings although this can be overridden in code as acorn demonstrated.
I think the issue here must...
Would be great for sure!
Alas, from a technical perspective, my understanding is that the way xara generates html uses absolute coordinates and external stylesheets etc. which is incompatible with...
1) to view the source code, use the feature in your browser (e.g. rt-click > View Page Source in Firefox) or load the htm files generated by Xara into an editor.
2) Both sites appear to be...
I am no expert on regex, but theres many different ways of achieving the same thing.
So !=on is equivalent to off
I am pretty sure the extra (.*)$ means apply to any filename but by omitting it...
Ah I see - strange behaviour. Sorry the spaces thing might be a false alarm then.
That header section seems a bit messed up somehow, the title moves in a parallax fashion to the rest, it just...
Same here, anchor links work fine in 2 different browsers (still allow to scroll to the top of the page)
BUT I noticed..

The links will be visited link colour if they have been visited in your recent browser history.
Try clearing your browser history.
CTRL-F5 just clears the browser cache.

I've seen a few threads asking about SSL certificates and sitemaps etc. so I thought I would compile an explanation of the best way to go through the process. Note: this advice relates to...
There are currently 316 users online. 3 members and 313 guests.
I guess acorn wants to see who some of the 99% guests are?
Agreed, should at least be an accesdible option, not a registry hack.
I know its cool to see a site automatically adjust by dragging a window, but really you should cater for common screen (full) sizes. AFAIK it jumps from 1024 to 1280 then 1366, so I'd say there's not...
Thanks for this Acorn,
I haven't fired xdp in a few days but now my service has expired I am in no rush to fire it up if it acts as nagware.
Thanks to your previous suggestions, I have v12 and...
Upgrade price of £89 now expires 22nd..
Hmm, Upgrade/renewal price (UK) is £89 expires? today (8th).

If you have cpanel access with your hosting package, it should have a password protect folders option.
Then you publish all your protected content to a protected subfolder.
This method means...
This risks upsetting google having the pages redirect, you'd still have to change the sitemap each time it gets generated. Seriously not worth it! Also not all servers use htaccess.
Not seen that nibbler site before, it might be quite useful.
I think you will end up causing more problems trying to avoid having extensions. Every time the site is published you would need to...
:)
Cheers Acorn, u da man.
I'm in a similar position, don't want to upgrade until they release the new patch though as the issue with the v15 object stretching would affect me.
I understand i would lose the online catalogue...
I am sure I've posted about this before, but I've decided to put it in detail in a dear xara, so here goes..
The default 'optimized' images served by xara are not very optimized for web image...
For the issue of pages being indexed, yes absolutely.
I am not 100% it would apply to xara flyouts but the following article suggests that initially hidden (not visible) content is indexed but weighted lower than visible content....
I use siteground.com for the majority if my websites hosting and their hosting includes LetsEncrypt SSL by default.
I just had an email that they have a 70% labor day sale coming up from 1st to 5th...
