Sorry for delay Chris, I've been away! I didn't keep original .X3D file so I tried to recreate it for you. Sorry if it isn't exactly the same but it should be close!

Bit late in responding but I thought you might prefer "thinner" circles. Both made in XX then copied and pasted into X3D, one as text and the other as border.You can extrude both of course, but they are more circular.

i figured it out. i inserted a "." (period stop character). then under the extrusion options i selected the outline button which hollowed out the period. then i added back the border and under the design options i set the stretch to 100%. i fiddled with the size and this is what i came up with...
