    Default WD6 / WordPress

Here is an idea that I would like to try. I'm designing a site for a client and from the main site, he wants to have control over a blog and an up datable news page. My thought was to tie the main site into WordPress (for the blog and news,) so that he could go in and update those two areas of his site. My question is: how would I link those two pages (links on WD6 page,) to custom themed WordPress pages? His host provider allows WordPress to be installed on the server and I have designed a matching WordPress theme for the site, I just need to know if and how it is possible to link a blog and news page.

This is the hardest part of WD6... no CMS. If anyone can help with this that would be great. Not sure that it is possible but you never know if you don't ask.

Here is a previous TalkGraphics thread that may be helpful.

Thanks Cursor, but what does a Flash site have to do with WordPress. Nothing helpful there at all.

That's a nice new point of view, Mike, using Wordpress like a CMS.

Nevertheless, perhaps is this an answer to Pixelpusher :

    http://www.pureedit.com/.

A simple cms but it works.

Thanks so much. Both are great ideas and would probably accomplish my goal, but I think I need to know how Mike made his blog work inside of WD6.

Sorry for the confusion, Pixelpusher. It looks like I dropped a single digit from the thread link:

    bad link > http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=4265 (missing '9')
    good link > http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=42659
