Thread: Ratatouille

    Default Ratatouille

Ratatouille was a very enjoyable movie with outstanding artwork and CG (of course).. An example of an unlikely story that worked very well I thought.

Whatever you call it, Zucchini, Courgette or that horrible word 'Squash' (which to me suggests you cooked it way to long) the 'Cucurbita pepo' is a key ingredient of Ratatouille and is a vegetable of outstandingly popularity in Australia. I know I use them a lot. The common name here is 'BlackJack Zucchini' owing to the skin on some being very dark green..
Easy to grow these things are best picked with the flower still attached in my opinion. Too often supermarkets buy in those that have been left on the vine way too long - they should not resemble marrows!

Yes I cheated a bit here and cloned the one fruit to make up a kilo

Again, XaraXtremePro was used entirely. Fractal Plasmas, feathers and transparencies galore shows the power of Xara and a little imagination.

Ever thought about illustrating cookbooks, Sledger. I think you've got the goods, fruits and vegetables that is.
