Thread: A nice pair

  1. #1

    Default A nice pair

Yes - Christmas break - time on my hands to play a bit with XaraXP.
Continuing my fruit'n'veg theme - This time it's a Pear..

The spots were drawn using nested featherd circles which I then randomly duplicated into a rectangle. From this a created a bitmap copy which was used as a fill.
The water droplets were all created from the one [droplet] drawing, simply duplicated, resized and rotated ad-hoc.

I've actually become more fond of the 'Nashi Pear' (also known as the asian pear) than the ol' European favourite. They are almost as crisp as an apple, excedingly juicy and very pear flavoured. Great straight from the fridge on a hot day

    Very well drawn pear Steve.

I like the Nashi Pear very much for their chrispness and excellent flavor.

Nice spotting method. Looks good enough to poach, with wine and perhaps drizzled with a little chocolate sauce.

You´re getting this fruit stuff down! (And we are getting a bit of taxonomic info as well ) "Taxonomic"--is that the right word?

Definitely a nice pear, sledger. The title caught my eye too.
