I'm not an 'Adobe Fan' but this comparision is simply wrong.
Adobe CS4 contains 14+ programs total.
$3,000.00 AUD / 14 = $214 AUD each

Don't forget XXP can be used for basic DTP! Now that takes us up to 5!
349.00/5= 69.80

John.
just out of curiosity I had a look at CS4 pricing..
looks like that version (master ed.) is even more expensive than mentioned - not just a couple of hundred either.. nearly A$1,500 more! ouch!
Don't go kidding yourselves that Xtreme has even close to the featureset of between 4 and 6 components of Adobe's CS4 suites.
True, but remember that most of us don't need the entire 10+GB span of features in all of the Adobe apps.
Unfortunately, what we do need from Adobe is spread out around lots of apps - result : the need to purchase a very expensive bulging suite of software taking up a lot of space and with a complicated workflow to do what could have been satisfied by a surprisingly capable, well written program for a fraction of the cost.
+1.
Xara adds fantastic value to CS4 to me - but it's not a replacement for CS4.
CS4 is an amazing product, from video creation, special FX (After FX), Photoshop, Professional DVD authoring, Print post production.
In my work chain, Xara is tool #1, then further CS4.
But again, it's not for everyone. On a different topic, I think Adobe would have been better off buying Xara than Magix.
Back to the topic: Is there a release date for Xara6?
