I've used Smile Internet Networks for 6 sites that I have created. Their support is fantastic.

The 6 sites I created were for different clients.
Darn I've been searching for ages It's true what Risto said "the never ending quest for finding a good host".
I've followed Alan's advice regarding site reviews. I've been spending several days now reading comments etc.... I came to one conclusion: The better the package deal, the worse the reviews (nothing's for free or too good to be true).
THIS is the best site I've found for hosting reviews.
I came up to these sites, which are relatively expensive but have high reviews rates:
http://www.u2-web.com/hosting/shared/
http://www.blurstorm.com/
http://www.polurnet.com/
http://www.hostgator.com Seems promising with e-commerce and stuff, though chatted with their sales not too eager to help so it seems.
Yahoo Hosting seems expensive but promising for me:
http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/
Please help me decide:
Would it be wise if I host my site with a particular "good" host, but link some download files from another "bad" one? I won't really care if I loose some 3$-5$ a month if the server goes down if it is not my www.mysite.com address. I came to that conclusion since there are many cheap hosts who give you tons of space (which I need most) for low price, but I don't want my index site to be on such a host though.
My goal is:
Selling products via the web (e-commerce shop or etc.. I'd like to sell tutorial movies, icons, photos and graphics). The movies take much bandwidth. (!)I've bought many tutorials from www.cartoonsmart.com and I've noticed the download link comes from a different server than the site is hosted on.
I see many people sell stuff like T-shirts and all sorts of cups etc. I'm located too far aways for that but I can let the users download my products and earn a few bucks.
P.S. Has anyone tried www.hostmonster.com? I couldn't find it's (objective) review anywhere, just commercials.
Too Bad Xara does not provide a host... Nothing like a trusted company
Help me out please!
