First of all, I'm glad you like my work

Secondly... I'm working as a security guard that's all nothing special really.

I can upload a photo of a "low" missle I have under my bed if you want (I'm serious) I keep it as a souvenier, it's been used so it's just junk now.

You wouldn't have one here in the UK (only criminals and police). I have never seen a real gun in the flesh (or even a replica). I might have seen a gun in a museum, but that's it.

Sound funny to me Paul. Weapon is a culture, like driving. It doesn't mean it's more or less dangerous, it's just common that's all. For me it's obvious to see someone with a weapon, every govermental place has weapon storage. Unlike what people in other countries think it means absolutely nothing. On the contrary it teaches a person holding/carrying a weapon responsibility, since if it's lost you get in jail. In the army you are forced to keep your weapon at home, but if it's lost... then you are too It teaches you to become responsible for your actions, because anything you do with a weapon, you'll be judged more sevirely, so you'll think 10 times before doing anything. It's very uncommon for anyone to get hurt from a weapon.

Not much consolation to a lot of people with dead friends and family through no fault of their own. Forget the military and terrorists.

Those poor Amish families and children.

What legitimate use would you have for these?

Parahandy, you're right. The last gun I saw was in the hands of a soldier guarding the Windsor barracks.

Don't get me wrong - I understand why some people need guns, just to see them in an everyday civilian situation unsettles me.

If you're interested my grandfather was a marksman in WWI and my father was a rear gunner in WWII, so guns aren't entirely unkown to our family.

Hmm... to pick locks, when I lose a key? When I was little I saw a movie where the main hero picks a lock. I decided I had to learn how to do it. Comes in handy when you lose your key. In several cases I was the locksmith and people would call me whenever they lost a key.

I've had many hobbies... always kept myself busy with something, from woodcrafting (yes norman, I built a bench as well just like you did maybe I find a photo somewhere) to metal crafting (making lock picks, hand made tools and knives... made a bolt gun once with a trigger mechanism - downloaded a scheme from the internet) to macrame knitting to instrument playing to graphical design.

It's more interesting to live if you have something to do rather than just stare on the wall or watch tv... I don't remember the last time I watched tv though I have one in my room.

Yep there are people who do it for sports, I am not kidding.
But buglars now use special keys and tab it a couple of times
and the lochk is open, don`t trust your locks, even the most
expensive one can be opened with these special key and a smal hammer.
I am not kidding.(only those extra locks are save , you know the ones
who look like a cross screwdriver (the best way I can explain it)
