New Xara Packaging

For those of you who haven't yet ordered or received new Xara3D6 software, I thought I would show you the new "DVD-Type" packaging that they used. I think it looks great. Only thing I would recommend is that they add some 3D images to the "front" cover; this would be especially important if it were at retail stores.

Was there anything on the back of the package? Or is not is there room for any photos?

I was the one who moved it over to DVD packaging, so I appreciate your comments Zee.

A while back I floated a balloon in this forum to gauge thoughts on DVD packaging. The response was good, so Xara3D 5 was actually converted over a little while ago (so newer Xara3D 5 owners will probably be asking 'Wasn't it always in DVD packaging'?

But with the new product release, I tweaked it some more and there it is.

It's been an enjoyable project, I've not heard anyone say they like the old box! It's more compact, smaller to post, more sturdy in the post and just feels more modern. I've also moved the CDs themselves over to litho print, which gives a clearer print.

In terms of images on the front... Xara product packaging has been like this for a while, and if you look at a lot of software such as Macromedia's I don't think they really have images on the front either.

Details are kept to the back (which, Gary, you can see in the image).
