ok, i been web designing for a while and wanna get into flash work. I wanted to know if there was anyway to download other peoples work and see the structure for it. I load some flash animations but it doesn't let me edit or see the structure of them. I heard theres a program that lets u do it, so if anyone knows what its called leave a message or if you know some sites that have editable flash files, leave a note

you'd actually need to get a program that downloads opens .fla files (eg-macromedia flash, adobe livemotion, etc.)

next, don't bother trying to edit swf's. you can get images from them and their protections is flimsy - but when you open them, it's like decompiling a well-written program written in modula-3. you can do it...but what you get will be ugly compared to what the original looked like.

go to flash tutorial sites, like flashkit (http://www.flashkit.com) or were-here (http://www.were-here.com) and download their .fla's. they've got tons for free download. the flash community is a very open one, so you'll quickly start learning where to get .flas and also how to do stuff without needing to see the .fla.
