As a moderator I have edited out your comments. You did not substantiate your claims and remain hidden without accountability if your claims are incorrect. Given your anonymity I have to assume you might be just trying to stir up trouble.

Regarding your claims: I don't know if you are right or wrong.

    it's a real bad joke.

If it should be true, it would be real sad.

Now tell us the truth please.

For those who didn't see Grampa X's posting that I edited: He was trying to announce the death of Xara X. Let's not start another round of speculation about things over which we have no control. I ask for your cooperation in this.

"Why have you edited my post? What I wrote is 110% true. Check with Kate or Charles. You have their email addresses. They will probably tell you some wishy washy story. Put them on the line. Ask them if they intend to continue with Xara X. Ask them what they're doing. You will find that they are not continuing. For definite. Why do you think they've been so quiet? The main problem here is the lack of programmers and the unwillingness to include proper support for Flash. A lot of people rely on technology to contiue and adapt. This is not the case with Xara X. A big shame because the program is awesome.

Did you check with Charles or Kate? You must realize your "inside" source you say is quiting might have an axe to grind and may not have been privy to longer range plans of Charles & Kate. Your speculation that they'd give a wishy washy answer suggests you didn't check your story and that you wouldn't believe what they'd say anyways.

If I recall correctly it wasn't too long ago that Kate advised that Xara X would continue to be developed. That can be true without Xara working on it today. I think most of us realize a small company like Xara directs it efforts towards different projects at different times because it can't afford to deploy continuous resources to all its products all the time.

I don't know what the future holds for Xara Ltd. and for Xara X. Time will tell. Hopefully they'll do better when your "source" is gone.

Why do you need to post anonymously? Are you shy?

Xara has renewed their support and sponsorship for the Xara Xone which is about 98% Xara X related. If they plan to drop support and development for Xara X altogether, then why spend money on the Xara Xone that could best be spent elsewhere?

As for support for Flash. Why does the world need another Flash front end application? There are so many applications that already do this and do it very well. What none of these Flash front-end applications can do worth a hill of beans is provide a decent set of drawing tools, which Xara does in spades, and not the kind you use in the garden :-)

We have a number of Xarians from England. Maybe one of them could wonder over to Gaddesden Place and see if the lights are still on. ?????
