Can anyone tell me a similar font to zurich extended. I noticed that zurich ex is just a plain font with no bold case, which I of course need.

You can buy this font at:
http://www.myfonts.com/PurchaseOptions?familyid=257&id[]=114 for $24.95
In case the link doesn't work, I did a search at http://www.google.com for the keywords "zurich extended" and a pageful of Zurichs came up top of the list. Click the link, and your font is about 1/2 way down the page.
I'm sure Xara's www.buyfonts.com has something similar, but if it has, it's not called Zurich there.
zurich is the substitution name for helvetica if i remember correct
helvetica is a wellknown font that you ought to be able to purchase from lots of font vendors as eg font shop ...

I don't know if this would provide a professional look for you or not. But what I have done in the past for fonts that do NOT have a BOLD CASE, is apply a very thin outline (for example .25 pt or less) and leave the "Scale Line Widths" icon On. Then, if you interactively scale the text, the look of the "bold" font remains the similar. You may also have to tweek the tracking/kerning.
You might also look at Swiss 721 which like Zurich is a version of Helveltica. Many font foundries created similar fonts but gave them different names to avoid copyright issues.
Swiss 721 (at least in my old CorelDRAW 8 manual, has both a bold extended as well as a Black extended.
