Newbie Question - Extracting Symbols

Hi

I downloaded a psd file with some bullets and arrows available on one file. Each symbol appears in the layer box as a layer but when I double click on a layer the preview box is just dark.

Does anyone know how I can extract each symbol so that I can use each individually?

Not exactly sure what you mean dove, sorry. Can you try to explain it another way perhaps?

If I understand your question correctly, all you should need to do is drag the layer with the symbol you want to extract into a new image.
