    --- I'm not a copyright expert... And my comment was not in regards to your illustrations, just for the use of the logos themselves.

    I don't think anyone would be upset with you if you used the Firestone logo on a tire for one of your illustrations. However, making the logo the main feature on a t-shirt or what have you, could land you in a whole heap of trouble - or at least a nasty letter from a lawyer's office.

    There is of course some issues with using other people's photographs as the basis for an illustration. I would think that the risk of getting in to any real trouble increases with every dollar you make with that illustration (or the exposure you get with it.)

    Not knowing how old you are... Car shows, and the locations where street racers and biker's hang out can supply an ample amount of source material... I would announce my intensions (ask for permission) before snapping pictures of a biker's Chopper... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    If you ask nicely, I'm sure a Ferrari dealer would allow you take a couple of quick shots in their salon.
