Problem with the Xara Pro+ built in uploader

Just an update. Xara continue to solve the problem of the uploader. The fuzzy fact remains that 7 of 10 sites load well with the uploader. 3 sites have to be uploaded with an external program (FileZilla). Half of those sites were made with a previous update of Pro+. Half use the new upload dialogue. I don’t believe that is the problem.

Xara techs almost have it. Using FTPS I can see "explore web space" -- the site uploads and stalls out at about 3%. Then quits.

With the most recent Pro+ update, I can confirm that the internal uploader is working very, very well.

They communicated with me via email throughout the work on the problem.

5 months is a long time for a fix.
I wonder how man Xara customers were impacted and just gave up or wasted time separately tracking down a fault.

But none of these Xara changes can possibly affect your v18 software, unless you are now using a Plus product?

I was just commenting that when I changed hoster (earlier this year), suddenly the Xara uploader failed (IIRC, similar to BWood's in the initial posts). It still works OK on another site with another hoster. The (an) uploader "bug" has existed from my version. Nothing I can do about it, of course, and I am using WinSCP until I decide to upgrade.

Clarification: It is not a bug with the Xara software. Over the last few months, providers have been updating TLS libraries and deprecating outdated ones. Some providers provide grace periods, others just flip a switch and tomorrow doesn't support them. With the last Xara Plus release, we updated our TLS libraries. We've been testing through with multiple providers to ensure all worked well. Everyone is moving at different speeds, exactly why site upload might work with one provider and not another. But many in the market are still testing and you will see this change throughout the rest of the year. And any of you using a lot of software apps, I'm sure have been getting many TLS announcement emails. For example, Atlassian (Jira) just started their updates this week.
