not sure about that, but burk'n'ead band half man half biscuit wrote a song about them; it's a satirical take on merchandising; if you lookaround google you may get some interpretations on the lyrics that strive to be insightful, meaningful even, but if you listen to it, its a pi**take

Ahhh, I knew I recognised 'Joy Division Oven Gloves'.

Although I'm reasonably familiar with HMHB (via the days of John Peel) I don't think I've made it through one of their albums in one sitting yet. They've recorded some great tunes to whistle along to, but I find you have to be careful as they can become persistent earworms. I'm thinking 'Deep House Victims Minibus Appeal' - "Said the public sector leader, At the pre-launch breakfast briefing, Get your cheque books out..." (I'm humming it just writing this!)
