I assume you are referring to "Resource Hacker".
If so, yes it will do what you say but I would offer caution as while you may consider "changing" something is all right, it is probably breaking your Xara licence conditions, if not, those listed here: https://helpandsupport.xara.com/xara...ledgements.htm.
People then may drift into wholly illegal activity.
You'll probably find Magix is even harsher.Xara EULA (representative wording):
B. You are not permitted:
2. to rent, lease, sub-license, loan, copy (except as expressly provided in this Agreement), modify adapt, merge, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the Software or its associated documentation except as permitted by law;
If you could find a way to do this through changing a Windows Registry entry, I might be more supportive.
