XDP X16 - Design Gallery?

Well, not being an expert on the technicalities of the programme, I've tried everything I can.
But, it still doesn't work.

I've replaced the larger 'eng' file, that's 100Mb, in place of the 10Mb file in XDP11's location.
XDP11 still works fine. I can add page elements etc... in that programme.

However, no matter what I try, things just don't work in DPX16.
What has changed is that I can see all the thumbnails, but, when I try to add anything to a page, nothing happens.

I've added an image to show the steps I've taken, and tried many times.

Rik, you are still one level too high as the message in the third slide does not show 'eng' in the path.

Just a guess though.

I've done what you suggest, as well.
I've gone into the 'eng' folder, and selected each and every folder from there, and selected 'Add'.
Doesn't work.

This is so frustrating.

You would have thought that a newer version would be better.
This has probably been THE WORST purchase of Xara, I've ever made.

Any other suggestion from you or anyone else would be most welcome.
Don't Xara/Magix ever look at this forum?

Rik, have you also opened each folder and only then selected 'Add?'

If I do, then I end up with this.

I'm going to end up with a huuuugh list of folders.

You can only add folders with .xar/.web files. Any subfolders will not be shown. So, you have to choose which folders you want to include or else combine the contents of various folders.

Anyway, does the content show now?

A lot of the content has been showing, but, some of it doesn't work.
Whilst, everything works in XDP11.

Well, at least it's getting there. ;-)

I'm not sure if this would have a positive effect but you could try and rebuild the index and thumbnail cache in offending folders. Using Windows Explorer, delete the xarinfo folder and catindex.txt file in one of the folders that show mixed results. Now restart XDP 16. The respective folder will now have a prefix "NO INDEX." Select the folder and click "Disc designs" to open the "Add folder to gallery" window. Click the "Update" button and, next, the "Create" button on the "Warning from...." dialog. Now you can open the folder again and, hopefully, select and open all .xar/.web files contained in that folder.
