Okay. So I received my notification that I can buy PS 6.0 along with prerequisite blurbs about how wonderful the upgrade is. But has anyone used it yet? Is it worth the $199US for an upgrade? What are the real features? (really disappointed they didn't do a closer integration with Image Ready - but there ya go!)

Jen, I think you will be very happy with PS 6. There are some reviews on Adobes site about the features you might want to check out.
hello I'm new to ps post. I'm also a member of photoshopuser magazine. They just came out with a special issue for PS 6. I looks great.
I have ps 5.2, and was goning to buy, 5.5.
I will wait for 6, its going to be good. Let me browse throughthe issue and tell you about the PS 6 features.
Now if I list something in 5.5, its because I dont't know, I don't have it.

lined up on the top tool bar.
======================================

======================================

======================================

and a whole bunch more, FX, technique, attitude, gloss contour.

Greg
Thanks Greg & Beth. I took a look at the new features and the ability to lock up layers alone would have sold me on the upgrade but being able to type directly in the layer without going to a text box, rocks. I'll be interested to find out how well PS6 handles the vector capabilities - it's no Xara - but it'd be nice not to have to switch programs for minor stuff. Anyway, I bought the upgrade which is on backorder - figures!
