page options

I perfer to work in inches, however every time I reopen Xara, I have to reset all my page options.

I have the "save settings on exit" box checked, and have also clicked on the "save now" button.

Settings go into effect for current session, but upon reopening, they are the same as before.

Any suggestions?

Configure page\options as you like and choice "File -> Save Template" (check the "Use Default"). that all. 8-)

Thanks Fax. That did the trick. Is this the correct method, or a workaround?

The "help" files tend to indicate the way I was trying, should have worked.

Also, I didn't do this in Xara2, as I have no "custom" default in my templates folder.

Either way, your method works for me, and that's the bottom line. Thanks again.

If you want all new documents to use Inches as the default units, then you need to use Save as Template and check "Use as default template".

If you just want to change the current document, select Inches in Page Options.

Remember you can always enter values in any units by typing the unit abbreviation after the value (for example 2.5in").
