This isn't an upgrade not even an update
Update service is what the @#$%^!?
Last but not least;
I cannot install it on the drive I want.
&*^$@* magix just installs it on my C drive

All the more we are being seen as numbers by not having a single thing from the dear xara implemented.
I predict the near future.
No real updates besides the online designer.
I simply don't believe the blablabla from a new manager(?)
Usually a new manager means doing things different with only one(or two) goal(s):
bringing in more money and for being there for his or her glory.
They'll be shutting down TG,
So we can only connect through magix fora which get (re)directed to your system language;
This is for dispersing reactions,comments,complaints and wants.
Such a shame.
But as stated before,
It's the beginning of the end
My imagination is so much better now thank you.
** cartoonism** (sigh) and grow up already
Did you get your problem resolved?
What I found is that Xara listened and for those that do not need the pro features what we have now the same as 352pro less the web creation stuff. Xara is still the developer magix is the distributor. Did you download the trial from Magix? your serial number will still work to register the program and all is now better than it was
As for magix shutting down TG I don''t see that happening. What we need is more member contributing.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Larry,
I don't have a problem with the update persé,
Just stating it isn't much of an update.
Xara did hold on to this so called update service which they now have put aside with a new installation procedure.
And I was just venting that magix won't allow me to install to whichever drive I want.
The rest was just my opinion,deal with it as you or anyone else sees fit.

I suspect that Xara / Magix do not want you putting the software on a removable drive. A C: drive is almost 100% guaranteed to be permanently installed in one PC. Even if you could make the software install on a removable drive, if you moved it to another PC it would trigger the license protection and prevent it from running. Is it a free space issue?
<sarcasm>
Really,a removable drive??
would that be possible??
have you tried??
</sarcasm>
But seriously;
I install all big programs on my D: drive which is a partion of my single hdd.
I keep my system( C: ) as clean as possible and have 2 external hdd's for backup and content.
Usually one gets to choose where one wants the program to be installed,this has been the case for as long as I can remember.
My question is why the change?
A magix thing to keep track of us?
A developer who chose the wrong installer?
Plain stupidity?

maybe it just affects the Magix site?
